However, certain news streams <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailymirror.lk\/caption-story\/Tourists-arrive-from-Iceland\/110-295292\">did not report<\/a> that this event was a first of its kind.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Therefore, we decided to do a fact-check on this.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Fact Check&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Tourist Data Records:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority (SLTDA) has recorded arrivals from Iceland dating back to at least 2018.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This indicates that Icelandic tourists had visited Sri Lanka before this group&#8217;s arrival;
