From time to time, notes about various amazing observations regarding calendars are shared on social media, and sometimes even fake news are shared. Social media posts stating that various incidents happen once in 823 years have been exchanged before on various occasions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In this way, our Fact crescendo team investigation revealed that the social media posts claiming that the dates of the month of February will be adjusted after 823 years, is a completely false note.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In early 2026, the same misleading claim has resurfaced once again on social media platforms, including Facebook and TikTok. Posts circulating this year repeat the familiar narrative that February displaying four occurrences of each weekday is a rare phenomenon that happens only once every 823 years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A social media post shared back in 2021 is being reshared now, stating that in the month of February 2021, there were four Mondays, four Tuesdays, four Wednesdays, four Thursdays, four Fridays, four Saturdays, and four Sundays. The note further mentioned that it would come again after 823 years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To find out about this, we looked at how the dates of the February 2021 calendar are arranged. The calendar is as follows.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to the calendar of the month of February 2021, we found that the 7 days of the week are 4 days each. We investigated further to check whether a month of February will come after 823 years as mentioned in these posts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to our investigation, it appears that every day of the week has come 4 times during the month in 2022 as well. In most of the years, the seven days of the week is used 4 times during the month.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2022 February Calendar<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

There are 28 days in February every year except for leap years which have 29 days. Accordingly, every year which is not a leap year every day of the week comes 4 times within the month.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Here<\/a> is an explanation about the leap year. The recent leap year which appeared was 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We then checked the previous and upcoming February months that start on a Monday and end 28 days later on a Sunday, as indicated in the social media posts. Here we noticed that it is not a phenomenon that happens once in eight hundred and twenty-three years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As stated above, we have seen that this will happen next in the year 2027. This has also happened before in 2012 and 2016. From the year 2010 to the year 2100, here is a post showing the days that fall on Mondays in the month of February. During that period, we get to see 14 such cases.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In fact, February 2026 is a non-leap year February with 28 days<\/strong>, which means each weekday naturally appears exactly four times. This is a normal feature of every non-leap year February, not a once-in-823-years phenomenon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Between the years 1900 and 2100, there are multiple instances of February starting on a Sunday and ending on a Saturday. For example, this alignment occurred in 1987<\/a>, 1998<\/a>, and 2015<\/a>, and appears again in 2026<\/a>. This shows that the pattern follows a regular calendar cycle and is not a rare event that happens once every 823 years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
