This is our investigation into such in Poland.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Social Media Posts&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Social media has been flooded with colourful images purporting to show 300,000 Poles protesting against migrants and for Christianity in Warsaw in late November<\/p>\n\n\n\n<iframe frameBorder='0' width='640' height='360' webkitallowfullscreen mozallowfullscreen allowfullscreen src=\"https:\/\/www.awesomescreenshot.com\/embed?id=35935138&#038;shareKey=c3682a9abb3f863cdd9c454ada2f2bf8\"><\/iframe>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/web.facebook.com\/alexander.rabinovich.3\/videos\/956129442692251\/\">FB<\/a> | <a href=\"https:\/\/www.awesomescreenshot.com\/video\/35935138?key=c3682a9abb3f863cdd9c454ada2f2bf8\">Archived<\/a>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We decided to do a fact-check on this.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Fact Check&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A&nbsp; simple reverse image search reveals that the footage does not capture the mass protest recently, but a march held in Warsaw to commemorate Polish Independence Day on November 11, 2017 ( <a href=\"https:\/\/www-rmf24-pl.translate.goog\/fakty\/polska\/news-marsz-niepodleglosci-przeszedl-ulicami-warszawy-sprzeczne-da,nId,2463993?_x_tr_sl=auto&amp;_x_tr_tl=en&amp;_x_tr_hl=en&amp;_x_tr_pto=wapp#crp_state=1\">here<\/a> ).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>An original video can be found in X Below, which was published in 2017.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\"><p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">March of independence in Warszaw today. <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/march?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#march<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/independence?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#independence<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/warsaw?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#warsaw<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/warszawa?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#warszawa<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/ultras?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#ultras<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/OzQX5BQW5m\">pic.twitter.com\/OzQX5BQW5m<\/a><\/p>&mdash; \ud835\udc02\ud835\udc1a\ud835\udc2c\ud835\udc2e\ud835\udc1a\ud835\udc25 \ud835\udc14\ud835\udc25\ud835\udc2d\ud835\udc2b\ud835\udc1a \ud835\udc0e\ud835\udc1f\ud835\udc1f\ud835\udc22\ud835\udc1c\ud835\udc22\ud835\udc1a\ud835\udc25 (@thecasualultra) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/thecasualultra\/status\/929751768350765057?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">November 12, 2017<\/a><\/blockquote><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sixty thousand people took part in the march ( <a href=\"https:\/\/translate.google.com\/website?sl=auto&amp;tl=en&amp;hl=en&amp;client=webapp&amp;u=https:\/\/tvn24.pl\/tvnwarszawa\/ulice\/marsz-narodowcow-przeszedl-przez-warszawe-ls270574\">here<\/a> ). Some of the marchers were nationalists, chanting anti-migrant slogans such as &#8220;Pure Poland, white Poland&#8221; ( <a href=\"https:\/\/translate.google.com\/website?sl=auto&amp;tl=en&amp;hl=en&amp;client=webapp&amp;u=https:\/\/www.pbs.org\/newshour\/world\/tens-of-thousands-of-far-right-demonstrators-march-in-poland\">here<\/a> ).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Despite the fact that not all marchers were nationalists, foreign media outlets presented the event as a march of radical right-wing supporters ( <a href=\"https:\/\/translate.google.com\/website?sl=auto&amp;tl=en&amp;hl=en&amp;client=webapp&amp;u=https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2017\/11\/11\/world\/europe\/poland-nationalist-march.html\">here<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/translate.google.com\/website?sl=auto&amp;tl=en&amp;hl=en&amp;client=webapp&amp;u=https:\/\/www.theguardian.com\/world\/2017\/nov\/12\/white-europe-60000-nationalists-march-on-polands-independence-day\">here<\/a> ).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>CNN reported that one of the main organisers of the march was the radical right group &#8220;Ob\u00f3z Narodowo-Radykalny&#8221; (Polish: &#8220;National Radical Camp&#8221;), which speaks out against Muslim immigrants, LGBT rights, and the European Union ( <a href=\"https:\/\/translate.google.com\/website?sl=auto&amp;tl=en&amp;hl=en&amp;client=webapp&amp;u=https:\/\/edition.cnn.com\/2017\/11\/12\/europe\/poland-warsaw-nationalist-march\/index.html\">here<\/a> ).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>However, the then Polish Deputy Prime Minister Piotr Gli\u0144ski criticized the way foreign media presented the event, saying: &#8220;In Poland, extreme political groups are marginal. They have never received significant support from Polish voters in any elections, and this is obvious.
