Amidst this, a fake website claiming to be the official website where the relevant QR code can be obtained has also been circulating on social media. Accordingly, it stated that the QR code system for purchasing fuel will be implemented with effect from 6 am on 15.03.2026. You can refer to the full announcement <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/share\/p\/18PPLC6MCR\/\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The relevant announcement clearly states that the website to be accessed to obtain the QR code is <a href=\"https:\/\/fuelpass.gov.lk\/\">https:\/\/fuelpass.gov.lk\/<\/a>. This was also reported in the media as <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/share\/p\/1CQXoADwMz\/\">follows<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Government Officials Warn Public to be Vigilant of Fake Fuel Pass Websites<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Sri Lanka CERT&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Sri Lanka Computer Emergency Readiness Team (Sri Lanka CERT) issued a public advisory on 16<sup>th<\/sup> March, warning citizens about fraudulent websites circulating on social media and messaging platforms that falsely claim to provide access to the National Fuel Pass System.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The statement also urged the public to refrain from clicking suspicious links or scanning QR codes from unofficial sources, while also being cautious of look-alike URLs with slightly altered spellings or characters.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sri Lanka CERT confirmed that&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/fuelpass.gov.lk\/\"><strong>https:\/\/fuelpass.gov.lk<\/strong><\/a>&nbsp;is the&nbsp;<strong>only<\/strong>&nbsp;official website for the National Fuel Pass System, and any suspicious cyber incidents should be reported directly to Sri Lanka CERT through its official channels.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<iframe src=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/plugins\/post.php?href=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.facebook.com%2FCERT.lk%2Fposts%2Fpfbid02iZfzpgE2Ay7axVZ3MqMyq6AdgpYaq1XX14zbdGkVg9tLpHAcUhp4GJv1o6AUm7HHl&#038;show_text=true&#038;width=500\" width=\"500\" height=\"609\" style=\"border:none;overflow:hidden\" scrolling=\"no\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"true\" allow=\"autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; picture-in-picture; web-share\"><\/iframe>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Ceylon Petroleum Corporation (CPC) Managing Director&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Also, Ceylon Petroleum Corporation (CPC) Managing Director Mayura Netthikumara has warned the public about fraudulent websites circulating regarding the National Fuel Pass QR system. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailymirror.lk\/breaking-news\/Warning-over-fake-fuel-pass-website\/108-335445\">Speaking at a media briefing<\/a>, Netthikumara said that some individuals have created fake accounts to collect personal information. He further stated that the official website of the National Fuel Pass is <a href=\"https:\/\/fuelpass.gov.lk\/\">fuelpass.gov.lk<\/a> and that citizens are requested not to share personal data with other websites or third parties.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The government has now released a video with instructions on how to obtain the National Fuel Authorisation System (QR code) for fuel dispensing.
