In the outrage that followed, a stream of videos began circulating, some presented as footage of the crime itself, others as scenes of the men responsible being caught or punished. The clips were emotive and widely shared, but our checks found that they were not what they claimed to be: most are recycled from unrelated, previously reported incidents. <strong>We traced each video to its real source. No credible or official source has reported this footage in connection with the Sri Ganganagar case, so we checked its frames using a reverse image search.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><em>An Incident from Bilgram, Hardoi, Uttar Pradesh<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We identified an <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/reel\/DaVBuGey0JV\/?utm_source=ig_web_button_share_sheet\">Instagram post<\/a> carrying the same footage, which described an abduction in the Bilgram area of Hardoi, Uttar Pradesh.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Following that lead, we found a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bhaskar.com\/local\/uttar-pradesh\/hardoi\/news\/hardoi-gangrape-dalit-girl-police-accused-chandrashekhar-azad-cm-action-138323861.html\">news report<\/a> stating that an 11-year-old girl had been deceived and abducted in the Bilgram area of Hardoi. The report noted that the girl&#8217;s father accused police of threatening him and failing to act as he sought justice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Further posts about the Hardoi crime were also found, alongside Hardoi Police reports confirming arrests. Police produced all the accused before the Patan court and remanded them until March 23.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">India&#8217;s News18 also ran a <a href=\"https:\/\/hindi.news18.com\/news\/rajasthan\/sri-ganganagar-fact-check-sriganganagar-rape-case-police-parade-viral-video-truth-10637366.html\">fact-check<\/a> confirming the video relates to a Gujarat dispute with no connection to the Sri Ganganagar case. A <a href=\"https:\/\/www.indiatv.in\/gujarat\/nine-accused-gangraped-a-minor-girl-from-three-years-police-arrested-eight-accused-2026-04-18-1212479\">mainstream Indian media report<\/a> from April 18, 2026, carried a photograph of the same individuals seen in the video. It said a minor in Kheda, Gujarat, had been abused over a period of three years, and that eight suspects had been arrested.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-8f761849 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image
