Since the beginning of the vaccination drive for the Covid-19 pandemic, anti-vaccination posts have spread rapidly on social media. Many of those posts state that vaccination is unhealthy and can have adverse effects on your body, hence discourage to take part. Below is our investigation of one such post.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In order to verify the veracity of the claim, we undertook measures to investigate whether the World Health Organization (WHO) had indeed made such a statement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our initial course of action involved checking prominent international media outlets to determine if they had reported on the alleged statement made by the World Health Organization (WHO). However, our search did not yield any results<\/a> indicating the existence of such a report. Likewise, it also cannot be found on WHO\u2019s official website. Every pregnancy starts out with a 3-5% chance of having a birth defect. This is called the background risk.
