Caption states that \u201cAn incredible video, showing what can happen when two Electric Vehicles collide. Note that both\u00a0sides of the freeway have been shut down and there are no fire apparatus present because, once a lithium battery ignites, it cannot be easily extinguished and the fumes are toxic\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<iframe src=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/plugins\/video.php?height=476&#038;href=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.facebook.com%2Fskunri%2Fvideos%2F244543215193525%2F&#038;show_text=true&#038;width=476&#038;t=0\" width=\"476\" height=\"591\" style=\"border:none;overflow:hidden\" scrolling=\"no\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"true\" allow=\"autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; picture-in-picture; web-share\" allowFullScreen=\"true\"><\/iframe>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/skunri\/videos\/244543215193525\">Facebook Post<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/archive.org\/details\/screencast-www.facebook.com-2023.08.01-13_18_02\">Archive link<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Fact Check-&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Our investigation began with a reverse image search of key frames from the viral video, which led us to a Youtube video uploaded on 15 July, 2013 that contained similar visuals from the viral video. The title of the video is roughly translated from Russian as \u201cExplosion of a Gazelle (isuzu) and gas cylinders on the Moscow Ring Road on 07\/13\/2013.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<iframe width=\"560\" height=\"315\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/q27Ikb9RZcw\" title=\"YouTube video player\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We searched more with the keywords and found multiple reports of the incident. A report by\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/ria.ru\/20130713\/949527894.html\">RIA Novosti<\/a>\u00a0that mentioned 119 gas cylinders exploded in the back of an Isuzu truck on the Moscow Outer Ring Road, confirmed by the Metropolitan Police.The Isuzu truck collided with a bus. The driver of the truck was reported to be injured.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"720\" height=\"848\" src=\"https:\/\/srilanka.factcrescendo.com\/english\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/08\/image-3.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-7936\" srcset=\"https:\/\/srilanka.factcrescendo.com\/english\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/08\/image-3.png 720w, https:\/\/srilanka.factcrescendo.com\/english\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/08\/image-3-255x300.png 255w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 720px) 100vw, 720px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In further search, we discovered another YouTube video from the same incident on July 13, 2013. This video is a recording by surveillance camera of a car that travelled in the same road behind the truck that caused the accident. This video shows a truck carrying several gas cylinders that exploded after it collided with a passenger bus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<div class=\"jetpack-video-wrapper\"><iframe title=\"\u0412\u0437\u0440\u044b\u0432 ISUZU 13.07.2013 \u043d\u0430 \u041c\u041a\u0410\u0414\u0435\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/SVoI3hB4IiM?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/div>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Moreover, none of the news stories mention that the truck or bus involved in the collision was electric. It\u2019s worth noting that Isuzu\u00a0did not have\u00a0an all-electric truck model back in 2013, and electric buses were only introduced in Moscow\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.smartcitiesworld.net\/news\/news\/electric-bus-arrives-in-moscow-3267\">in 2018<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Conclusion-&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Fact Crescendo found the claim made along with the viral video to be <strong>False<\/strong>.
