This fact check focuses on such a misleading video created using a series of unrelated footage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Social Media Posts<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>A viral video on social media claims to depict the current weather conditions in the Philippines \/ HongKong, showing severe tornadoes, cyclones, heavy rains, and lightning. Video Compilation from Various Sources: Our analysis found that the viral video does not accurately represent the current weather conditions in the Philippines or Hong Kong. It is a compilation of multiple videos taken from various countries, some of which are from past unrelated events to these countries. This compilation has been edited and altered to create a sensational and misleading impression of the current weather situation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Let`s consider the component of altered videos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The first 10 seconds of the viral video were created from a video taken from the YouTube channel, famous for creating altered videos about weather patterns and natural disasters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<div class=\"jetpack-video-wrapper\"><iframe title=\"Tornado Damage in Coastal Town  #nature #tornado\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/J73_BroiAEE?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/div>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>In the above video, we can see a tornado behind a building.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>But, in the actual video, which was recorded in 2016 in Jacksonville Beach, Florida, USA, no such tornado scene exists. It only depicts the heavy storm conditions as a result of Hurricane Mathew. Real videos can be watched from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.shutterstock.com\/video\/clip-1046107468-jacksonville-beach-fl--usa---october\">here<\/a>. It shows a storm hit the Taihang Mountain Grand Canyon in Shanxi. Hundreds of tourists gathered together to avoid danger. Current Weather Information from Official Sources: To verify the current weather situation in the Philippines, we consulted <a href=\"https:\/\/archive.ph\/fMf9n\">the official website of the Philippine government&#8217;s weather agency<\/a>. As of September, there are no cyclone alerts or reports of severe weather conditions in the Philippines.
