Using a reverse image search, we found that the viral image depicted the Space Shuttle Endeavour launch on May 16, 2011. However, the assertion that it was taken from the International Space Station is false.

NASA clarified that the original image was taken by a shuttle training aircraft, not from a camera positioned on the ISS. As mentioned on the NASA website, the space shuttle Endeavour and its six-member STS-134 crew were heading toward Earth orbit and rendezvous with the International Space Station.

The picture captures the shuttle emerging from below the clouds, but it was taken before the shuttle reached orbit and while it was still below the altitude of the ISS. More details can be read here.

Moreover, the image has been digitally altered to create a "tilt-shift" effect, giving the impression of a higher vantage point. A comparison with the unaltered NASA photograph reveals this slight manipulation.
