Fact Check

Using Invid – We Verify tool, we found one of the episodes of the viral video on YouTube, as seen below.

Moving forward, our investigation led us to a definitive conclusion: the individual captured in the videos, in fact, dressed as a priest and dancing alongside women. However, he is not a real Catholic priest but rather a Brazilian actor named Inácio Falcão.

On his YouTube channel, many similar videos showcase this Brazilian actor engaged in such dance routines while adorned in priestly attire. The character portrayed by the actor is known as "Papa Popó Caruaru."

This designation is not new to his repertoire, as he has embodied this character for several years, infusing life into various occasions, including São João de Caruaru, Carnival, Holy Week, Winter festivals, Regional parties, Moto Fest, Christmas, and private gatherings. To glimpse the persona, Inácio Falcão describes himself as an artist hailing from Caruaru and introduces his alter ego, "Papa Popó Caruaru," engagingly. The translation of his YouTube account's description sheds light on his artistic endeavours and his spirited contributions to local festivities and celebrations.
