A same video was also published on YouTube in 2022, more than a year before the commencement of the current Israel-Hamas conflict. The caption of the video says the child is a Syrian one. Unfortunately, the origin of the video and the location where it was captured could not be identified.

Comparison with Daily Mail Footage: Further investigation revealed a similar video in a Daily Mail article. This footage featured a boy confessing to eating grass due to the war situation in Syria.
