The photo shows the aftermath of a ceiling collapse at Liberty Cinema in Wenatchee, Washington, which occurred on February 25, 2025, during a screening of Captain America: Brave New World. According to local reports, only two people were in the theater at the time, and no injuries were reported. The Wenatchee Valley Fire Department responded around 8 p.m. The couple reportedly heard cracking noises before one of them shouted “Run!” as debris began to fall. The cause of the collapse is still under investigation.
The Liberty Cinema, a historic building constructed in 1919, has been temporarily closed for safety inspections.
