A Facebook user uploaded a short clip of an old woman sitting on a hospital bed with a birthday cake on November 9, 2023. Such claims, that the grandmother was 300 years old, were shared numerous times on Facebook, eliciting a range of responses and sentiments from people in general.

We performed a Google Reverse Image Search, which led us to find the following facts:
A photo of the exact same shape was found and posted by a Facebook user named “Antonio Di Lernia” on November 6, 2023. The picture above is made with artificial intelligence (AI) technology only. The following is an excerpt from a post by the social media user described in Italian as “Auguriiiiiii,” or “Wish” in English.
We also discovered that other photos—including numerous images of international leaders—had been shared that had been altered by artificial intelligence (AI) technology.
The longest-living woman on Earth, according to the Guinness Book of World Records, is Jeanne Louise, who was born on February 21, 1875, and passed away at the age of 122 years and 164 days in Arles, France, on August 4, 1997.
