Misleading posts about COVID-19 vaccines circulate on social media from time to time. This fact-finding investigation, conducted by Factcrescendo, aims to uncover the truth behind a post that has recently been shared.

There were reports circulating on social media that your cells could be remotely controlled through Covid vaccines, and that Rockefeller had officially confirmed this through a US patent.
“This is too bad. A Rockefeller patent (No. US10786570) confirms that they can now remotely ‘CONTROL’ your cells using 5G and mRNA COVID-19 “vaccines.”
This patent discusses the ability to remotely modify and regulate cellular functions using Ferritin Nanoparticle Compositions.
What is the goal?

If a patent existed for a method to control individuals through COVID-19 vaccinations, it would have undoubtedly triggered intense international media coverage and global public debate. However, no such evidence exists in mainstream international reporting.
To verify these claims, we examined US Patent US10786570, which was cited in the viral social media posts.
What does US10786570B2 patent mean?
Patent US10786570B2 is a scientific patent held by Rockefeller University in New York titled “Ferritin nanoparticle compositions and methods to modulate cell activity.” The research was conducted by a team led by Jeffrey Friedman.
It details a laboratory technique known as “radiogenetics,” which utilizes radiofrequency waves to remotely influence cellular activity.
This technology is currently limited to laboratory research involving animals (such as mice) to study how biological processes, like insulin production, can be wirelessly stimulated.
Nanoparticles
The process uses iron-containing protein particles called ferritin. When exposed to specific radio waves, these particles heat up, opening a temperature-sensitive “gate” in the cell and triggering a response.
Modified cells are required
This method does not function in normal human cells. For a cell to respond, it must first be genetically engineered to include both ferritin nanoparticles and a temperature-sensitive gating mechanism. Is this used as a general medical treatment?
This technology currently remains at the proof-of-concept stage and is not in practical use among the general public. It has been successfully demonstrated under laboratory conditions, including successful trials on mice where radio waves were used to stimulate insulin production and reduce blood sugar levels. However, the technology is not yet ready for safe or practical use in humans. For the method to function in a human body, the individual’s cells would first need to be genetically modified through gene therapy to insert the specific receptor proteins referenced in the patent.
At present, the technology is primarily applied in advanced laboratory environments for neuroscience research, where scientists use it to remotely activate brain cells. What specific diseases do scientists hope to treat using this Radiogenetics technology?
The primary goal of this research is to cure diseases by controlling proteins that do not function properly or are in short supply in the body.
Diseases expected to be treated with this technology:
Diabetes
Instead of injecting insulin from outside the body, the main goal is to use radio waves to induce the body’s own cells to produce insulin at the right time.
Neurological Disorders
In diseases such as Parkinson’s, brain cells lose their function. With this technology, researchers hope to control symptoms by stimulating relevant nerve cells through radio waves, non-invasively, without inserting wires or devices into the brain.
Protein Deficiencies
Another use is to stimulate cells to produce a protein when needed, for patients who are born unable to produce it.

Addressing the Claim: Controlling and Manipulating Human Behavior
For the technology described in the Rockefeller patent to function, cells must be genetically modified. The patent states that normal human cells cannot respond to the radio signals used for remote control.
Nanotechnology and Shedding
What is nanotechnology?
‘Nano’ means one billionth of a meter. Nanoparticles are entities so small that they cannot be seen with the naked eye or even with a regular microscope. In medicine, nanotechnology is used to deliver drugs precisely to their target location in the body.
Key Differences in Nanoparticles
The Rockefeller patent uses metallic nanoparticles called ferritin. These particles act as tiny ‘antennas’ or ‘heaters’ that are sensitive to radio waves, stimulating cells [US Patent 10,786,570].
In mRNA vaccines, lipid nanoparticles act as tiny protective carriers. Their purpose is simply to surround the mRNA with a thin fatty layer and safely deliver it into the cell. Once the mRNA enters the cell, this coating naturally breaks down and disappears [ Lipid nanoparticles for mRNA delivery].
Main Difference:
• In patents: Metal (iron) particles are used to control the cells.
• In vaccines: Fatty (like oil) particles are used only to transport the drug.
The nanoparticles used in vaccines have no capability to interact with communication technologies such as 5G. Once administered, they behave like ordinary biological fat particles and are naturally processed by the body.
Refuting ‘Shedding’
‘Shedding’ can occur with certain vaccines that use live viruses. However, mRNA vaccines do not contain any live virus. The lipid nanoparticles used in these vaccines are naturally broken down and cleared from the body within a short period of time, and they cannot be passed to other people through the air or casual contact.
The US Centers for Disease Control (CDC) lists all the ingredients in the mRNA vaccine. Ferritin, which is mentioned in the patent, is not included.
Solar Geoengineering and Chemtrails
There is no credible evidence to support the claim that governments are dispersing nanoparticles into the atmosphere. While scientific proposals for solar radiation management do exist as a means to combat climate change, these are distinct research initiatives and are not programs intended for the distribution of medical nanotechnology.
Sensitizing you to heavy metals
The term “sensitization” is frequently misused in conspiracy narratives. In a medical context, sensitization refers to the process by which an individual develops an allergic reaction or poisoning due to heavy metal exposure. This biological response is entirely unrelated to the scientifically baseless claim that heavy metals can turn the human body into an antenna for 5G signals.

In medicine, “metal sensitivity” is an immune response caused by contact with the skin surface or medical devices inside the body (e.g., dental fillings, artificial joints).

Claims that COVID-19 vaccines are part of a “depopulation agenda” are entirely unfounded. Major health organizations, including the WHO and CDC, confirm that vaccines have saved millions of lives and are not intended to harm populations. The timeline of this research further confirms there is no link to COVID-19. Scientists at Rockefeller University began investigating radiogenetics in 2011—eight years before the pandemic began.
