Through Google Reverse Image Search, it was confirmed that the image depicts Donald Trump alongside his mother, Mary Anne Trump.

Mary Anne Trump, mother of U.S. President Donald Trump, was born on May 10, 1912, in Tong, Lewis, Scotland. She immigrated to the United States in 1930 and became a naturalized citizen in 1942.

She married Fred Trump in 1936, and together they raised five children. Mary Anne passed away on August 7, 2000, at the age of 88, at Long Island Jewish Medical Center in New Hyde Park, New York.

She was known for her philanthropic efforts and her Scottish heritage, which was deeply rooted in the Isle of Lewis. Her life journey from a Gaelic-speaking household in Scotland to becoming a prominent figure in New York is a testament to her resilience and adaptability.

A few months before Donald Trump launched his campaign for the U.S. presidency, a New Yorker report highlighted Mary Anne Trump’s Scottish heritage, tracing her roots back to Scotland.

The report also included a black-and-white photo of Trump with his mother, though it did not provide any caption supporting the claims circulating on social media.

Despite extensive searches, no reliable evidence has been found to support the authenticity of the quote attributed to Mary Anne Trump regarding her son’s character and attitude.

However, several years ago, multiple fact-checking publications consistently debunked the quote as false information.

The latest report from Snopes, published in January, debunked the claim, stating that there is no evidence to support the allegation’s authenticity. The report also urged the public to provide any evidence that could substantiate the claim.

Exploration through Google Search uncovered additional publications, including PolitiFact, Reuters, and FactCheck, from late 2019 during Donald Trump’s first term as President of the United States.

All of these sources concluded that the quote could not be verified as originating from Mary Anne Trump. They also determined that the false information was aimed at undermining Donald Trump’s campaign for the presidency at the time.

During Donald Trump’s first term as U.S. President, a surge in fake news targeting him was observed. This increase coincided with his controversial policy focused on deporting illegal immigrants from the United States.
